Empower yourself and others through your power of love!
“You are an unsettling woman!” This is what a famous lawyer told me at the end of our long conversation. We had known each other since childhood, as our parents were closed friends, and we lost touch after school years. What was unsettling about me, according to him? 1. I had left behind a safe career within my father’s law firm, to leave as a volunteer on a mission field. Everyone thought that it had just been the whim of a hothead, but they all had to reconsider it as my experience as an international volunteer lasted over 35 years. 2. He had known me also as an independent girl who would not even remotely think about marriage and family, then when we met again, he found out I was married and had 12 lively children.
3. Instead of chatting about his celebrities friends, or abut fashion and entertainment, we went into a deep conversation about faith, about world suffering and what can a person do to alleviate it. He had opened to me about his desire to follow his heart and embrace a political movement, but how he had felt compelled instead to replace his dad after his death and become a lawyer. 4. He was surprised that as we talked together he had bared his soul, something that had never happened to him: nor with others, nor with himself. Our reunion that day left me reflecting over a few things. I had perceived a loud signal, almost like that of a trumpet! As I had been sharing many of my experiences, going over in my mind to all the thousands of people I had met and encouraged through my volunteer work, I realized I was facing another choice: that of translating all that experience and skills into a profession. Within a few days I heard someone talking about coaching, for the first time. Though I didn’t even know what was about, I felt in my heart that it was the path I needed to pursue. I have studied and I am still studying coaching with the passion of a nerd.
In 2009 I graduate as a Professional Coach from ICA ( International Coach Academy ) and in 2011 as a Trainer from ICCS (International Institute of Coaching Studies). Later on I pursued Masters on Relationship Coaching, Parenting Coaching, and facilitating awareness about people skills and personality types. I’ve been studying and learning also from many outstanding coaches and authors, like: John Maxwell, on Leadership Coaching Tony Robbins, on Personal Development Brendon Burchard, on High Performance Dani Johnson and Vanessa Van Edwards on Mastering People Skills and Personalities David Steele, Matt Boggs and Alison Armstrong on Relationship Coaching There is an ever-growing, multicolored paillette of new coaching strategies and tools, so that each person can find its own to create their own masterpieces. What colors your coaching style? Since I was a child, I would dream of life a filled with love and to see happy people all around me. This dream has been fulfilled through a deep faith in a God of Love who cares for each one of us. I believe that it’s a privilege having been able to experience this Love and Joy, even in the midst of adversities and life storms. This is what being loving and happy means to me: • Awareness that we are not alone and that we are important • Being able to share it with others as well • Power to love even when others can turn their back on you • Resilience after a fall or a loss • A great sense of humor • An inexhaustible desire to make a difference through your own gifts, skills and passions • Discover your own purpose in life • Freedom from toxicity and emotional abuse • Being able to celebrate progress and wins every single day • Find pleasure in cultivating brilliant, loving, healthy relationships • Express your own creativity in productive ways • Working on a dream, with a dream team Each of these points is at the core of my work and commitment as a coach.
Who turns to you for your services? It may be because “your vibe attracts your tribe”, but I feel so honored by each wonderful person that I have met through coaching. Each one confirms how unique we are in our own essence, yet how many elements we have in common, as if we were all a part of a perfect puzzle. Strong points in common are often: • Excellent work ethics • Willing to get in the game • As one of my friends said: “ A blessed greed for learning!” • Courage to face your own fears • Explorer mindset • Perseverance when the going gets tough • Quality relationships building Common points to grow on are often: • Managing emotions • Managing stress, especially when coming back home • Managing empathy (sometimes it’s seen as a weakness, rather than a strength) • Loss of self-esteem and identity (especially because of emotional abuse) • Discomfort in relationships and/or love life • Searching for purpose • Freedom from fears, insecurities, anxiety
